Festival runs Monday, March 30 through Thursday, April 9, 2020

General Registration begins Sunday, December 1, 2019

2019 Registration, Fee Schedule, Regulations and Deadlines

DEADLINE for General registrations was midnight on Friday, January 25, 2019.

DEADLINE for Band and Choral registrations was: Friday, February 8, 2019

You will need to consult the 2019 AMFA Syllabus PDF to select the class number. Additional classes are available in the 2019 Local Music Syllabus / Regulations PDF which is a supplement to the AMFA Syllabus.

  • Emailed registrations must be sent by midnight on the above dates.
  • Registrations sent by surface mail must be postmarked by the above dates.
    • Fee deadline (if sending by mail) – February 15, 2019
  • Class number changes will be accepted only until Friday, February 8, 2019.
  • Cheques: please make payable to: St Albert Rotary Music Festival
  • Credit cards are accepted for online registrations ONLY – through Paypal
  • E-transfers to info@st-albertmusicfestival.ca (please use the password “Festival”)
  • For classes by age, use age as of December 31, 2018.
  • Musical Theatre performers: check out AMFA's Musical Theatre List PDF [sorted by SHOW name or SONG name] to classify your song (ballad/up-tempo) according to AMFA guidelines when making your entry.
  • Participants and teachers are responsible for knowing and adhering to the Rules Governing Local Festivals as published in the 2019 Alberta Music Festival Association Syllabus External link and the Regulations of the St. Albert Rotary Music Festival Local Syllabus PDF.
  • All Awards / Scholarships are at the recommendation of the adjudicator.

If there is a question between Age/Grade: e.g., a 13-year-old in Grade 5 – choose whichever fee is lower.

Age 12 & younger or Grade 6 & under (including Preparatory)

  Solo $25
  Concert / Recital / Concerto / Sonata $40
  Duet and Trio $35

Age 13 & over / Grade 7 & over (up to age 27)

  Solo $30
  Concert / Recital / Concerto / Sonata $40
  Duet and Trio $35

Any age

  Quartets $35
  Small Groups (5 to 9) $40

Adult (over age 28)

  Solo $30

The St. Albert Rotary Music Festival believes all youth should have the opportunity to participate in our annual Festival; receive feedback from a trained adjudicator and experience showcasing their talent in front of an audience.
